BAYC announced a trilogy film series
Coinbase has announced that they are teaming up with Bored Ape Yacht Club to produce a trilogy film series featuring select apes as characters.
According to Coinbase marketing director William Swann:
“We are dedicated to creating and supporting content projects that speak directly to our community and sustaining the culture of web3 innovation. As we aim to bring the next billion people into the crypto economy, we firmly believe that this interactive film series will act as a catalyst to serve that mission and help audiences understand the collaborative nature of web3.”
Sony and KIRKBI just injected $1 Billion each into Epic Games 🤑
Epic Games, the makers of Fortnite and Unreal Engine, has announced today that is has raised $2 billion in funding from Sony and Kirkbi.
Sony and Kirkbi each invested $1B. This values Epic Games at $32 Billion after the funding round.
According to Epic Games Founder & CEO Tim Sweeney:
“This investment will accelerate our work to build the metaverse and create spaces where players can have fun with friends, brands can build creative and immersive experiences, and creators can build a community and thrive."
In January we saw Microsoft buy Activision Blizzard for $69 Billion. These tech giants are super bullish on the Metaverse.
