Coinbase had a roller-coaster ride at the SuperBowl
Hacker saves Coinbase just days before SuperBowl:
On 11th of February, a "white hat hacker", a hacker with good intentions, came across a major vulnerability and instead of exploiting it, he notified the team at Coinbase. The hacker goes by the pseudonym “Tree of Alpha” on Twitter. The devs were able to fix the vulnerability in no time and Brian Armstrong, CEO Coinbase, publicly thanked the hacker.
@Tree_of_Alpha @coinbase .@Tree_of_Alpha you're awesome - a big thank you for working with our team love how the crypto community helps each other out!We are waiting for the hacker’s tweet with a detailed write up on what the vulnerability was.
Coinbase website sees x14 increase in traffic following SuperBowl ad:
The crypto exchange reported extreme increase of new users. Even Cloudflare, the biggest content delivery network worldwide (used by Discord and other technology giants), is reporting on it currently.
But, this took a toll on their servers: Users on Downdetector had earlier reported problems about 7:20pm ET, shortly after Coinbase aired a Super Bowl advertisement with a QR code that links to a site where new users who sign up for the platform can receive $15 in Bitcoin. Here’s the link.
And now, their app is #2 on Apple’s App Store: They spent $14 million on marketing and it certainly paid off.
Uber is considering accepting crypto payments
Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi has said that the ride-hailing company will eventually accept crypto as payment.
He added that the company is having conversations on the matter "all the time" and is actively exploring adding the crypto payment option, but still hasn’t decided to take the leap yet.
"As the exchange mechanism becomes less expensive, becomes more environmentally friendly–I think you will see us leaning into crypto a little bit more," he said.

Want to make BAYC cooler? Put them on cannabis packaging!
Owning a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT comes with special perks like invitations to exclusive events and networking with thousands of other Yacht Club owners. So some members of the club came up with a unique idea: marketing it more by putting them on weed packaging!
Now, since the rights for any NFT are stored on the blockchain, you can license your NFT to a well-known brand and receive royalty payments when they sell products with it!
All you need is 0.28 BTC (Frens, some hopium)
If you have 0.28 bitcoin then you most certainly have made it.
Why? Simple.
Because no more than 1% of the world population can ever own more BTC than you.
Imagine years down the line everyone wants to own a BTC and there are not enough to pass around cause there’s just 21 million of them!
Your 0.28 BTC value will skyrocket when it happens.
