Here are today’s market moves:
Here's what you need to know:
Vitalik Buterin’s fashion sense is next level
The creator of Ethereum isn’t kidding around when it comes to fashion. He showed up to the ETH Denver conference dressed as a grizzly bear and looks menacing as fuck.
Few other shots of the Lord bear spotted in the wild:
Is he indicating we’re in a bear market? Hmmm 🤔
Crypto markets have corrected steeply from their highs made in 2021 and the weak price action looks set to continue as geopolitical risks and fed tightening cycle are set to play out throughout 2022. It cracks me to see one of the most brilliant and innovative minds of the crypto world playing around dressed like a bear 🤣
My entire future is dependent on that guy dressed up as a grizzly bear.
Crypto scammers have a new target: dating apps
Crypto has been a hot topic throughout the world in 2022 and a new study from brokerage firm eToro found that 33% of Americans who were surveyed would be more likely to go on a date with someone who mentioned crypto assets in their online dating profile.
But this has also led to a problem: a lot of people are falling for scammers in the dating space.
About 56,000 romance scams, totalling $139 million in losses, were reported to the Federal Trade Commission last year, according to agency data. This will only get worse with crypto scammers in the coming months.
Here’s how a scammer tricked a US woman into a $300,000 scam by promising her that her crypto investments would help them get married and start a life together.
We are already having a bad time dealing with NFT marketplace scams, and now there are crypto scams in other industries.
Stay safe, frens. Always use protection and remember to never click on unknown links or share your seed phrase to anyone, even to your dog.
Randi Zuckerberg’s plan to lure women into tech and blockchain
Randi Zuckerberg is Mark Zukerberg’s older sister. She worked at Facebook for 10 years before she split ways from the company as she felt there was a lack of women in tech.
Fast forward today, to lure more women and spread awareness about tech and blockchain, she created a parody video of the song ‘Hello’ by Adele as a cryptocurrency ad campaign for OKCoin.
In a fur-collared cardigan, like the one Adele wore in her ‘Hello’ video, ‘Would you like to learn exchanging crypto--cur--rency?’ she sings in Adele's soulful, yet fragile way.
She tweeted out the video last week, saying ‘crypto should be fun.’
South Korean AMC set to launch crypto ETF
South Korea’s KB Asset Management launched a committee on Monday that will develop investment strategies for releasing digital asset products such as exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
Bulgarian Stock Exchange list BTC and ETH
Crypto investors in Bulgaria can now bet on the price movements of Bitcoin and Ethereum directly from the Bulgarian Stock Exchange. But here's the catch: they can only do so by investing in exchange-traded commodities (ETCs) and exchange-traded notes (ETNs), which will still grant exposure to the underlying market.
In addition, Finance Minister Assen Vassilev stated that the nation is exploring options for rolling out a crypto payment mechanism.
