Coinbase has released another preview of their much anticipated, upcoming NFT platform. Coinbase’ VP of product, Sanchan Saxena, has taken to Twitter to share how easy the buying process will be on the platform.
…on the other, Reddit tests NFT profile pic feature
Major social media site Reddit is testing a feature that would allow users to set any of their NFTs as their profile picture, not just Reddit's own CryptoSnoos, TechCrunch reported. The article cites Reddit as saying that this NFT test is in the early stages and hasn’t been made available to public users on the site.
OpenSea is being nice to users who fell prey
Many users faced huge losses as their cryptopunks and apes got sold for a mere 6 ETH due to a bug on OpeaSea not solved on time. The largest NFT marketplace is now reimbursing users who had their non-fungible tokens snatched up and resold for far below market value on Monday.
The company said it’s been quiet on the issue to avoid notifying “bad actors who could abuse it at scale” before patching the problem.

President Putin supports Bitcoin and crypto mining
The Russian central bank has called for a ban on Bitcoin mining and cryptocurrency transactions. The government is debating how to regulate these activities. President Vladimir Putin wants the Russian government and the central bank to reach a consensus on the issue. He believes that Russia has a competitive advantage in Bitcoin mining due to the country's surplus of energy and well-trained personnel. Russia currently provides more than 10% of the Bitcoin network's computing power.
