Markets
Here are today’s market moves:
Here's what you need to know:
Do Kwon bets $1 M with another Twitter user on the price of Luna
One year from now a random Twitter user will either be a millionaire or will lose one million dollars to Do Kwon, the founder of Terra.
Gotta love an old fashioned bet, putting skin in the game instead of just running your mouth..
Twitter user AlgodTrading, thinks the whole Terra ecosystem is a scam and will unravel quickly. Do Kwon, the founder of Terra, obviously thinks otherwise.
They agreed to a duel, and they’re making it into a spectacle for everyone to watch. 🔥
Whatever the price of Luna a year from now, we certainly appreciate the massive BALLS on both of them to go through with their bet!
So they picked Cobie to be the witness and here is how they’re doing it:
The wallet address that Cobie set up and received $2M in it.
After receiving that $2M, Cobie decided to launch AlgodVsDoDAO, to decide on how to maximise the $2m with a 1 year time frame.
Here is what this bet looks like to me 👇
I make a public bet that this coin is going to go parabollic in 1yr time.
People buy the coin cause of the bet, riding the wave with me.
Bought at ATL, sold at ATH = Making more than the bet amount. Run with profit leaving the bag to holders.
Conclusion:
I call this a TERRAFIC bet.
The future of Bitcoin privacy is being developed
Soooooo Bitcoin has an issue.
It’s open. It’s transparent. AND I don’t think this is an issue at all!
But for some devs it has been and they have been working on making Bitcoin more private as every bitcoin transaction ever sent is stored in the blockchain, which anyone can see!
Last week, Bitcoin privacy programmer Chris Belcher released an alpha version of Teleport, an implementation of privacy technique “CoinSwap,” in an effort to improve bitcoin privacy by making transactions "invisible."
Let me explain this in plain jane English:
Teleport is a project that aims to improve Bitcoin privacy by making transactions invisible. It implements a privacy technique called CoinSwap that makes private transactions look the same as regular transactions.
So what Chris is trying to do is if someone wants to transfer Bitcoin with the maximum privacy available, a special kind of transaction will be initiated. For anyone looking at the blockchain the transaction appears completely normal with the coins seemingly going from address A to address B. But in reality the coins end up in address Z, which is entirely unconnected to either A or B.
Teleport is still in testing and the project is not yet ready for real funds.
Bored Ape Yacht Club creator buys CryptoPunks and Meebits
Yuga Labs, the creator of Bored Ape Yacht Club, announced today that it had acquired CryptoPunks and Meebits from Larva Labs.
Yuga Labs hopes to foster a “community of builders” creating derivative works around the two projects. To do that, it plans to grant intellectual property and commercialization rights to CryptoPunks and Meebits owners, allowing them to create works and products based off their NFTs the same way that Bored Ape owners have.
Till yesterday, CryptoPunk and Meebits owners weren’t given IP rights and this acquisition will be a game changer for the holders 😍

APY:
The annual percentage yield (APY) is a method of calculating the amount of money earned on a money market account over the course of a year. To put it another way, this is a technique to track how interest accumulates over time. Reminder: Higher the APY, higher the risk of a project.
