Happy 66th birthday, Hal!
This here is Hal Finney. The first to receive a Bitcoin transaction from Satoshi Nakamoto and a pioneer in the crypto world. He was known as the OG cryptophunk.
Hal Finney gave us PGP encryption, reusable proof of work, and supported Bitcoin early when the project needed it the most.
Finney died in Phoenix, Arizona, on August 28, 2014, as a result of complications of ALS and was cryopreserved by the Alcor Life Extension Foundation. Yes, his body has been cryonically frozen and will be revived if and when the tech comes by.
RIP Hal. His intellect and contributions were almost impressive as his legs.

Musk took to Twitter this morning to troll the NFT community, switching his profile picture to a collage of Bored Apes - then tweeting “I dunno… seems pretty fungible.”

Wikipedia will no longer be accepting crypto donations
The Wikimedia Foundation, the non-profit organization that owns and operates Wikipedia and related projects, announced that they would no longer accept donations in cryptocurrency.
The Wikimedia Foundation has accepted cryptocurrency donations since 2014. It made up a small portion of the non-profit's donation revenue—they received only $130,000 worth of crypto donations in the last fiscal year, which made up 0.08% of their revenue.
